Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 17, 2026
This privacy policy applies to the SBTI Test Chrome Extension ("Extension") available on the Chrome Web Store.
1. Data Storage
All data is stored exclusively on your local device using chrome.storage.local. No data is ever transmitted to any server or third party. The Extension operates entirely offline after installation.
2. What We Collect
The Extension stores locally:
- Your SBTI personality test results
- Test history (up to 30 days, stored locally only)
- Notification preferences (time and on/off setting)
3. What We Do Not Collect
The Extension does not collect:
- Name, email address, or any personal identifiers
- IP address or location data
- Browsing history or website visits
- Any data from websites you visit
4. Anonymous Statistics (Website)
When you complete the SBTI test on our website (sbtitest.best), the system records only your result type code (e.g. "CTRL") to generate an anonymous personality distribution leaderboard.
- No personal information is collected or stored
- IP addresses are used solely for short-term rate limiting (10 minutes) and are not stored
- The data cannot be linked back to any individual user
- This applies only to the website; the Chrome Extension remains fully offline
5. Deleting Your Data
You can delete all locally stored data at any time by uninstalling the Extension from Chrome. Uninstalling will permanently remove all test results and history stored on your device.
6. Notifications
The Extension may send daily reminder notifications if you enable this feature. Notifications are sent at a time you configure (default 22:00). To disable notifications, open the Extension popup, go to Settings, and toggle off "Daily Reminder". You can also disable notifications from Chrome's system notification settings.
